Ransomware poses a real threat to the data of all businesses in all verticals. The impacts from data loss, public reputation damage, and lost productivity can be large. In this session, we walk through two of the more common ransom targets seen by the AWS Customer Incident Response Team (AWS CIRT). This includes what actions the attackers take, as well as providing some practical, actionable advice on how to prevent, detect, and respond to ransom attacks against each of the targets.
